Senior Test Engineer
Pay: $170k/yr
Location: Scotts Valley, Ca
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 1st Shift
Position Overview
Ultimate Staffing is seeking an experienced Senior Test Engineer to develop and support test solutions for PCBAs, electronic assemblies, and system-level products.
This is a hands-on role supporting manufacturing, NPI, test automation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain test solutions for PCBAs, electronic assemblies, and system-level products
- Design and improve test fixtures, procedures, and automated test processes
- Troubleshoot complex product and test failures and perform root cause analysis
- Support NPI and new product transitions from Engineering into manufacturing
- Partner with Engineering on Design for Testability (DFT) and test coverage
- Develop test software, scripts, and automation tools
- Analyze test data, yields, and failure trends
- Provide technical support and guidance to test technicians and manufacturing teams
- Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, suppliers, and contract manufacturers
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field
- 7+ years of test engineering, manufacturing test, product test, or related experience
- Strong PCBA and system-level testing and troubleshooting experience
- Experience developing test solutions in a manufacturing or production environment
- Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, power supplies, signal generators, and related test equipment
- Experience with Python, LabVIEW, C/C++, or similar programming/scripting tools
- Experience with test automation
- Experience supporting NPI and production transitions
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills

Compensation
$67.00-$81.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
